Blanched Green Beans Recipe

Our Blanched Green Beans recipe is a light and healthy side dish. We use lemon zest, olive oil and lemon juice to flavor the green beans.

Ingredients:

1 pound green beans, stemmed
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove, grated
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 lemon juiced
Salt and pepper

Directions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
2. Add the green beans and boil for 2 minutes.
3. Once done, add the green beans to a bowl of ice water for 15-seconds to stop the cooking.
4. Drain beans and place on paper towels to dry.
5. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
6. Toss green beans with the olive oil mixture.
