Roasted Fennel Recipe

Our Roasted Fennel recipe is an easy recipe to make. The dish combines the sweet anise taste of the fennel with the more pungent Parmesan cheese. It’s well balanced and is a great tasting side dish.

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons olive oil
4 fennel bulbs, cut horizontally into 1/3″ thick slices
2 teaspoons fennel fronds
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup freshly shredded Parmesan

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375F.
2. Lightly oil the bottom of a glass baking dish.
3. Arrange the fennel in the dish.
4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then with the Parmesan.
5. Drizzle with the oil.
6. Bake for 45-minutes, the fennel should be fork-tender and golden brown.
7. Sprinkle the fronds over the roasted fennel and serve.
