Asparagus Fries Recipe
Our Asparagus Fries Recipe is a very easy to make. It transforms a common vegetable into a treat, which you can substitute for French fries.

Ingredients:
1-pound 1/2″ thick asparagus
1/4 cup, plus 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup bread crumbs
3 large eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 quart of vegetable oil
Directions:
1. Place 1/4 cup of flour in a shallow dish.
2. Place beaten eggs in a separate shallow dish.
3. In a 3rd dish, mix 3 tablespoons flour, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
4. Place asparagus in a colander and rinse under cold water.
5. Take a 1/3 of the asparagus and coat with the flour.
6. Then dip them in the egg mixture.
7. Lastly, toss them in the bread crumb mixture, gently pressing the breading into the asparagus.
8. Transfer to a baking sheet and repeat with the other two batches of asparagus.
9. Line a large plate with paper towels.
10. Heat oil to 350F.
11. Carefully add 1/3 of the asparagus to the oil and fry for 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.
12. Transfer to the plate and complete the other two batches of asparagus.
