Seafood Boil Seasoning Recipe
When it comes to boiling seafood, you want to have a nice blend of spices that will add flavor as well as heat to your dish. It’s easy to buy Zatarain’s or Old Bay Seasoning, but this Creole inspired spice blend can easily compete with the store bought products.

We just tried your Seafood Boil Seasoning as a substitute for Old Bay Seasoning with a traditional shrimp boil recipe from Americas Test Kitchen and the flavor was outstanding! It produced only a little heat (just right for those who want to fully taste the flavor of the shrimp without overwhelming it).
I’m glad that you enjoyed it! We only add recipes to the website that we ourselves think are winners. Hopefully you can find of lots of other gems on the site!
How many pounds of shrimp will this recipe season?
Typically you use 1/2 to 1 cup per 2 pounds/ shrimp. So the entire recipe would be enough for 4-8 pounds/ shrimp.
I can used this for a Country Boil? I have some fresh Home made Andouille Sausage from Alabama and fresh NC Shrimp.
For sure! This recipe is no different than if you were using Zatarain’s, Old Bay, etc.
