Smoked Gouda and Chorizo Jalapeno Poppers Recipe

Jalapeno poppers make great finger foods for tailgating. Our Smoked Gouda and Chorizo Jalapeno poppers recipe is creamy which goes great with the chorizo.

Ingredients:

2 links of Mexican chorizo, casing removed
1/2 pound smoked gouda, shredded
1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1/2 cup cream cheese
3 tablespoons sour cream
1 tablespoon Frank’s Red Hot hot sauce
Salt and pepper
12 large jalapenos, seeded and halved

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375F.
2. Brown chorizo in a skillet over medium-high heat (8-10 minutes.)
3. Drain and place in a large mixing bowl.
4. Add the cheese, red onion, egg, cream cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, salt and pepper.
5. Mix well and press into the jalapeno halves.
6. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
