Our Corned Beef and Cabbage recipe is a great recipe to make for St. Patrick’s Day. We love to serve moist corned beef with a mixture of sour cream and horseradish. Do note, this recipe takes time to make!

Ingredients:

5 pounds corned brisket of beef
6 whole black peppercorns
3 carrots, halved or quartered
3 onions, halved or quartered
1 green cabbage, quartered

Directions:

1. Place corned beef and peppercorns in enough water to cover meat.
2. Cover the pot, bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer for 5-hours.
3. During the last hour, add the carrots and onions and cover pot.
4. During the last 15-minutes add the cabbage.
