
Crab Sushi Bake Recipe
Sushi bakes seem to be all of the rage now-a-days. Our Crab Sushi Bake recipe is similar to a giant California roll with crab. How can you go wrong with such great flavors? You can’t! The best part of this recipe is that you only need to cook rice.

Ingredients:
Sushi Rice
2 cups sushi rice
2.5 cups water
1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon olive oil
Crab Mixture
2 cup crab meat
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1.5 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
Avocado Mixture
2 avocados
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Spicy Mayonnaise
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1.5 tablespoons Sriracha
1.5 teaspoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic (make into a paste)
Additional Ingredients
1 cucumber, peeled and diced
1 jalapeno, deseeded and diced
2 Nori sheets
1 tablespoon green onion, thinly sliced
Toasted sesame seeds
Directions:
To Prepare the Rice:
1. Cook the rice according to the packages directions.
2. Once rice is cooked, in a small bowl combine rice wine vinegar, olive oil, sugar and salt.
3. Stir to combine.
4. Add mixture to rice and stir to evenly coat the rice.
5. Set rice aside to cool.
To Prepare the Crab Mixture:
1. In a bowl, combine crab, mayonnaise, lemon juice and Old Bay seasoning.
2. Stir to combine and set aside.
To Prepare the Avocado Mixture:
1. In a bowl, mash the avocado.
2. Add salt and lemon juice and mix to combine.
Assembly:
1. Grease a casserole dish.
2. Add 1/2 of the cooked rice and press down so its compact and even.
3. Add 1 sheet of nori to cover the layer of rice.
4. Add crab mixture and evenly distribute on top of nori.
5. Top the crab mixture with the diced cucumber and diced jalapeno.
6. Add avocado mixture and spread evenly over cucumber and jalapeno mixture.
7. Top with nori sheet, until it’s fully covered.
8. Top nori with remaining cooked rice, spreading evenly.
9. Top with clear wrap and press firmly down to tighten the sushi bake mold.
10. Refrigerate for at least 15-minutes before serving.
11. Top with spicy mayonnaise, green onion and sesame seeds.
