Baked Turkey Meatballs Recipe

This Baked Turkey Meatballs Recipe is an easy recipe to make. The yield is around 20 meatballs, and it will require around 40 minutes of your time (20 minutes of preparation and 20 minutes of cooking.) The meatballs can be enjoyed with spaghetti, as part of a sub or just on the side as an appetizer.

Ingredients:

2 lb. ground turkey
1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan
1 whole egg
1.5 teaspoons dried basil
1.5 teaspoons dried parsley
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 cup bread crumbs, divided

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
2. In a large mixing bowl combine the turkey, cheese, egg, basil, parsley, garlic powder, salt red pepper flakes and 1/4 cup of bread crumbs (use your hands to mix.)
3. Place remaining 1/4 cup of bread crumbs on a small plate.
4. Using your hands, roll the meatballs into rounds (approximately 1.5 oz. portions) and then roll on plate to coat with breadcrumbs.
5. Bake on a foil lined baking sheet for 20-minutes; or until the turkey is cooked through.
**Spray the foil with cooking spray so that the meatballs do not stick to the foil.
