Spanish Garlic Mushrooms Recipe

Our Spanish Garlic Mushrooms recipe makes for a great tapas or side dish. In Spanish restaurants it is usually named champiñones al ajillo, and the dish is flavored garlic, lemon juice and a pinch of red pepper flakes. This recipe is delicious!

Ingredients:

3 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
8 ounces brown mushrooms, cleaned and halved
2 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons fresh parsley, chopped
Pinch dried red chili flakes

Directions:

1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. When oil is shimmering, add mushrooms and brown (2-minutes).
3. Add garlic, lemon juice, chili flakes, salt and pepper and sauté for an additional 4-minutes.
4. Remove from the heat and stir in fresh parsley.
5. Enjoy!
